On 30th September 2012 DWAS will hold a preview of forthcoming classic Doctor Who DVD releases. This will, like our event last year to celebrate the launch of 'Day of the Daleks' be at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London. Attendees will be able to see restored episodes from 'The Claws of Axos', 'The Ambassadors of Death' and 'The Reign of Terror'.

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship achieved overnight ratings of 5.5 million, representing 26.2% of the TV watching audience. This is 0.9 down on the season opener, or to put it another way, 3% of the audience share. Although lower it should also be noted that Doctor Who was the number 1 show on BBC 1 yesterday and number 2 over all the channels, being beaten only by The X Factor.

If you missed the full version of 'The Power of the Daleks' at Fareham on Satuday 1st, worry not as we will be showing the full version on the big cinema screen at Riverside Reflections on Sunday 21st October 2012. We are also pleased to welcome cast and crew members as guests.

The original version of 'The Power of the Daleks' was ofmcourse made at Riverside studio 1 in 1966.

The initial overnight ratings for the first episode of the new series are in, and the show performed well again.

The DWAS attended the preview of Asylum of the Daleks last night, with the new episode revealing a redesigned title sequence with updated logo. The episode has a running time of 50 minutes. After the episode, a Q&A session took place hosted by BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Richard Bacon, with Steven Moffat, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and Caroline Skinner.
