This book was released by Muller in 1965. The rights to this book, along with those for 'The Daleks' and 'The Crusade' were bought by Universal Tandem publishing in the 1970s to launch their Doctor Who Target book range. At 46 pages it ha the distinction of being the first Doctor Who novella and the first piece of published original Doctor Who fiction (bar comic strips).	Doctor Who Annual Peter Davison Annual Books K-9 Released: 1982 Cost: £2.50 Here is another example of a 'spin-off' annual type book. This book was probably inspired by the 'K9 and Company' spin-off screen in 1981 and repeated in 1982. It was the only K9-centric annual released.
