"I would go so far as to say that this is probably the best story of the series so far. It was good to see Rory back after The Eleventh Hour, and this story certainly helped establish the relationship between him and Amy. I'd argue that the Vampires were not complete out-and-out villains, and the 'running from the silence' maintained this season's arc.

And the accompanying Confidential, with Matt Smith and Toby Whitehouse in Venice learning about the background to the plague, was nothing short of superb.".
