CT Editor

We have an exciting opportunity with a vacancy for our new Celestial Toyroom (CT) Editor. This is initially a 12 month voluntary role working with the DWAS executive team on CT between July 2023 and June 2024.

The job includes the following:

* Scheduling issues in advance - producing a calendar aligned to key Doctor Who and/or Society activities and events throughout the year (for example, convention coverage or anniversaries)

* Commissioning quality articles that make up the content of each issue

* Editing the content to ensure quality control is in place resulting in engaging and stimulating content for our members

* Organising and liaising with a variety of contributors and exec members to ensure content, cover, artwork, and overall design is managed to a high standard

* Adhering to deadlines to ensure issues are printed and distributed on time

* Proof reading all issues to eliminate errors and inappropriate material* Ensuring members receive a quality product that is value for money

* Maintaining strict cost control

* Recommending ideas for continuous improvement

This is a highly responsible position as CT, which is the oldest Doctor Who publication in the world, is a key output of the Society and is sent to, and seen by, all of our members worldwide. The DWAS exec team will support the induction of the successful candidate.
