Overnight Ratings for 'The Eaters of Light'
Doctor Who sadly achieved it lowest ever UK overnight ratings on Saturday, with just 2.89 million people watching. However, the result is not as straight forward as it initially appears. This figure also represents 22% of the audience - that is an increase on 'The Empress of Mars' last week. the most likely reason for the fall is the hot weather which most of the UK is basking at the moment. The highest rated programme eon TV yesterday was the BBC News with 4 million viewers and on ITV, the highest rated show pulled in just 3.1 million (The Voice Kids).
Updated results will be available next week. You can read more about the ratings for the current series at http://www.doctorwhonews.net/search/label/Ratings
