Well I am actually relieved now. After last week's episode, I thought it was a big improvement.

I liked the bit about The TARDIS not making the noise. I liked kicking the globe like a football. I liked the TARDIS appearing in space to rescue River. I liked the soldiers being clerics. Yes, I liked.

Although we did not create any headlines this week, the publicity for the prgramme continues. My favourite this week comes from:

For the second week running it falls upon the shoulders of Gary Merchant to sign off for the blog on Victory of the Daleks. But just before that, am I allowed to say that I was disappointed by the episode? No?

Oh well, too late I guess. Right Gary.........

Well... aren't they colourful?!

Firstly I'd once again like to thank all of you that have taken the time to vote in our poll. Please encourage as many people as possible to take part - the results are very interesting.

Mark Carroll: Hmm. A lively episode but the space going Spitfires were ridiculous to the extent of going beyond the suspension of disbelief required when watching Sci Fi. The Dalek redesign doesn't work for me and looks very much like a cynical merchandising exercise! New shape and loads of new colours - Character must be rubbing their hands with glee!

So Victory of the Daleks got 6.45 million which, as second placed show on TV yesterday is a superb result even if the actual numbers are down. I have always felt that being shown in the spring means that Doctor Who is going to produce mis-leading overnight figures. The final consolidated results for The Eleventh Hour - at over 10 million, would seem to confirm that.

Amy Pond, in front of all those personnel and staff, addressed the Prime Minister (and not just any PM) as 'Oi Churchill'

Have you seen the clips on the BBC website? If not, it's worth a look. Nick Briggs is doing the voices again and he is clearly emulating The Power of the Daleks and the 'I am Your Soldier' bit. It looks good.
