The BBC announced in May 2008 that Steven Moffat would be taking over from Russell T Davies as head writer and executive producer for Doctor Who's fifth series, to be broadcast in 2010 although Davies had initiated discussions with Moffat regarding this as far back as July 2007.

As the publicity for The Doctor Who Experience continues the Telegraph chats to Andrew Beech Curator of the exhibition.

The Doctor Who Experience at Olympia in London, was opened by Matt Smith and friends on 20th February 2011 to an invited audience and to the rest of us as of 21st. The exhibition organised in house by BBC Worldwide, is an interactive experience and well worth a visit according to those there at the opening. To mark the 50th Anniversary of the charter of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Mail is issuing a set of 6 stamps and a miniature sheet, one of which features David Tennant.

Working with the Company, Royal Mail have selected six iconic Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Shakespeare’s plays to illustrate the issue.
