It seems we forgot to post the ratings for 'The Name of the Doctor' on BBC1.

The overnight figures were an initial 5.5 million. The episode then added a very impressive 2 million more, to finish at 7.5 million.

Doctor Who continues to top iPlayer download charts, making the programme very popular in certain media circles!

Online fandom has recently been buzzing with apparently well founded rumours about a haul of recovered BBC material, including Doctor Who. The BBC has now issued a statement that discounts this. You can read more at Doctor Who News:

'The Film Programme' from BBC Radio 4 features 'Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD' this week, and reunites some of the original cast. You can hear the programme via the BBC iPlayer - hopefully non-UK listeners can get it too.
