The consolidated ratings for 'The Time of the Doctor' on BBC1 in the UK, which include those who recorded the show to watch it in the seven days after broadcast, give the programme an excellent final figure of 11.1 million viewers. Another first class result for the Doctor.

The initial UK overnight ratings for 'The Time of the Doctor' were good, with the programme finishing as (joint) number 2 for Christmas Day, beating the traditional BBC1 ratings machine 'EastEnders'. Doctor Who pulled in an audience of 8.3 million (30.7%) making it joint number 2 with Coronation Street.

We are just 24 hours away from 'The Time of the Doctor', and Matt Smith's departure. As always we would like to know what you thought of the episode. As a bit of an incentive, everyone who sends in their comments to us by 31st December 2013 will be entered into a free draw to win either a DVD or Blu Ray of the Christmas special.

The consolidated UK figures for 'The Day of the Doctor' which take into account the audience who watched the show in the seven days after the initial broadcast, show that the programme added a further 2.7million viewers, taking the total figure to 12.8 Million - the highest for the show since 2008.

'The Day of the Doctor' also topped the BBC iPlayer charts for November 2013.

We are pleased to present our last two Anniversary Week You Tube videos. Today we have Derek Jacobi's interview at 'Time and Again' at Riverside Studios in october 2009 - this is split into two segments due to it's size. This was only his second 'Doctor Who' convention appearance.

Back in time to 1978 we go for a facsimile copy of 'The Companion Volume'. This was produced by the DWAS Reference Department and was only the second 'special' publication to be produced by the Society.
